This course is designed to fulfill the following three aspects.
1. to advance the studies beyond the elementary electromagnetics
2. to introduce the progresses in EM theory made in recent years
3. to provide sufficient background material for students to explore the contemporary topics in RF/microwave/millimeter-wave engineering, optics, acoustics, and earth science.
